Featured is a poster I produced for an art exhibition located at the New Museum in New York, NY for multimedia artist, painter, and sculpture Jeffrey Gibson. The rare mix of “cultural perspectives and exposure are essential to understanding Gibson’s artworks that combine and transform references drawn from Western and Non-Western sources.” The theme and style of this poster was inspired from the Bauhaus art movement which I really like. I decided on this particular style due to Gibson’s pieces that resemble many geometric shapes and also showcase a lot of reoccurring primary colors. The goal was to convey his dimensional approach by replicating it through the Bauhaus style.
